In this role you lead the Payments engineering squad at Docplanner, guiding 7–9 engineers to deliver value quickly with AI-native practices. You partner with Product and Design to decide where to invest, while staying hands-on in code and maintaining high quality. Responsabilidades

- Own performance management for the team: set expectations, give feedback, run reviews and address underperformance early
- Level up engineers: growth plans, mentoring, code reviews, stretch opportunities, and succession planning
- Collaborate with Product Manager and Design to decide foundations and bets, run fast experiments,



pivot based on user feedback
- Stay hands-on: implement features and architectural changes in the codebase
- Maintain AI-native practices and ensure quality while increasing delivery speed
- Track and communicate impact with metrics: delivery speed, quality, team engagement, product outcomes

Requisitos principales

- 8+ years of software engineering experience
- 4+ years leading engineering teams in product companies
- Track record of growing engineers and handling performance situations
- Hands-on experience using AI to speed up coding, with good judgment on when not to rely on it
- Founder mindset: move quickly from idea to experiment, validate with real users, adapt when needed
- Ability to thrive in ambiguity and pioneer new approaches
- Fluent English
