Overview

In this role you will own and optimize a large NoSQL infrastructure in AWS, supporting thousands of systems and hundreds of applications in a 24/7 environment. You will drive automation, performance, security, and reliability across the NoSQL stack. You’ll collaborate with DevOps and development teams to modernize infrastructure and enable scalable, resilient services. The opportunity combines deep database expertise with cloud engineering and automation, with a chance to explore AI-enhanced operations.

Responsabilidades

- Design and maintain NoSQL database infrastructure across Cassandra, Elasticsearch/OpenSearch, Solr, DynamoDB, DocumentDB, Redis, ClickHouse in AWS
- Own NoSQL cluster administration including planning, upgrades, security patching, data retention, performance tuning, troubleshooting and ongoing support
- Build and improve automation with Terraform, Python, scripting and IaC practices
- Explore practical AI applications to improve productivity, incident response, and operational efficiency
- Contribute to architecture of highly available, scalable infrastructure supporting customer-facing services
- Collaborate with application development and DevOps teams to test, troubleshoot, and optimize database-driven applications




- Monitor production and other environments to identify and resolve performance, availability, and scalability issues
- Support infrastructure and cost optimization across the NoSQL environment
- Provide guidance on NoSQL technologies to other DBAs across the general team
- Participate in on-call and priority support for 24/7 systems

Requisitos principales

- At least 4 years of experience administering NoSQL databases and Linux environments
- Strong knowledge of OpenSearch, Elasticsearch, Cassandra, Solr, Redis
- Hands-on experience with installation, upgrades, security patching, performance tuning, monitoring, production support, and troubleshooting
- Linux and shell scripting experience
- Python or another programming language
- Automation via scripting and Terraform (IaC)
- Cloud experience, ideally AWS
- Experience supporting critical enterprise database applications in a 24/7 environment
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills; able to work independently
- Clear communication and collaboration with DBAs, developers, DevOps, and other engineers
- Practical engineering mindset focused on reliable, maintainable solutions
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or related discipline
