Overview

As a Payroll Implementation Lead, you guide the end-to-end rollout of Deel’s global payroll solutions, including data migration and system configuration for clients. You collaborate with internal teams and clients to ensure accurate data transfer, compliant processes, and a smooth go-live. You’ll manage project plans, timelines, and stakeholder communications, driving on-time, on-budget delivery and a seamless transition. This role sits at the heart of enabling global teams to be paid accurately and on schedule.

Responsabilidades

- Set up projects with onboarding team and clients, leading kickoff and implementation
- Manage client and project streams, review calls, scope changes and delivery schedules
- Define payroll processes and data requirements, manage payroll calendars
- Maintain comprehensive project documentation (plans, status reports, process docs)
- Configure interfaces and reports for parallel and live payroll in month 1–2
- Lead go-live sign-off and document client-specific needs, validate and reconcile data
- Generate and analyze payroll reports and GL mappings as needed




- Act as primary payroll project contact and report to senior leadership
- Own end-to-end implementation to ensure on-time and on-budget delivery
- Gather client requirements across HR, Finance, and stakeholders
- Ensure compliance with local tax and labor laws, monitor changes
- Oversee data migration from legacy to new system, ensure accuracy and security
- Develop and execute testing plans to validate system readiness
- Apply change management to ensure smooth employee and HR adoption

Requisitos principales

- 5+ years of experience in global payroll implementation and payroll operations
- Strong knowledge of payroll processes and compliance across designated location
- Experience with payroll systems and software
- Client-facing project management experience with ability to handle multiple projects
- Project management certification (PMP) is a plus
- Excellent communication, collaboration, and problem-solving skills
- Ability to manage multiple projects under tight deadlines
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business, or related field (Master’s preferred)
