We are looking for a
Senior Business Analyst / Functional Expert
to join a complex
Market Risk transformation programme
. You will act as the functional SME across
Risk Factor Repository (RFR)
and
Scenario Manager (SCM)
, translating complex business requirements into clear functional and technical solutions while ensuring consistency, traceability, and governance across the end-to-end scenario generation process.

Market risk scenario generation relies on defining and applying shocks across relevant risk factors, with controls to ensure scenarios are coherent and usable for risk measurement.

What you’ll do
- Act as the key functional liaison between
Market Risk, RFR, SCM, and technology teams
, facilitating workshops, decision-making, and a shared understanding of requirements.
- Gather, analyse, challenge, and document business needs, translating them into functional specifications, technical requirements, use cases, business rules, mappings, and acceptance criteria.
- Define and support
RFR–SCM flows and interfaces
,



ensuring consistency and traceability of risk factors, attributes, and shocks across both systems.
- Support
Risk Factor inventory, characterization, and governance
within RFR, including attribute definition, taxonomies, mappings, and gap analysis.
- Work with
Scenario Manager (SCM)
processes, including shock ingestion, normalization, and mapping of shocks to the corresponding risk factors.
- Understand and functionally define
shock transformation, interpolation, and propagation mechanisms
, including consistency and arbitrage controls required for scenario generation.
- Perform data analysis and functional validations, identifying gaps, inconsistencies, and data-quality issues, then coordinating their resolution with technical teams.
- Support testing, UAT, defect triage, and functional acceptance, ensuring delivered solutions meet business and regulatory requirements.
