Hiring: BMC TrueSight / Helix Monitoring Specialist

Role Overview

We are looking for a BMC TrueSight / Helix Monitoring Specialist to administer, optimize, and evolve enterprise monitoring and observability platforms based on BMC TrueSight Operations Management (TSOM) and BMC Helix Operations Management (HOM) . The role focuses on monitoring implementation, event management, automation, incident resolution, and continuous service improvement.

Key Responsibilities

Platform Administration

- Manage and maintain BMC Helix and BMC TrueSight environments.
- Administer Presentation Server, TSIM, App Visibility, and Helix components.
- Monitor platform health, capacity, and upgrades.

Monitoring & Knowledge Modules

- Deploy and manage PATROL Agents and Knowledge Modules (KMs) on Windows and Linux.
- Configure monitoring policies, thresholds, and alerts.
- Create dashboards, service views, and operational reports.

Event Management & Policies

- Design and maintain event collection and correlation policies.
- Configure enrichment, deduplication, prioritization, and alert noise reduction.
- Manage CMDB integrations and policy documentation.

Automation & Integrations

- Develop integrations using REST APIs.
- Automate operational tasks, deployments,



and monitoring configurations.
- Create scripts for customization and bulk administration.

Support & Operations

- Provide L2/L3 support for monitoring platforms.
- Troubleshoot issues related to agents, events, and monitoring policies.
- Drive continuous improvement and platform optimization initiatives.

Required Skills & Experience

- Experience with enterprise monitoring platforms.
- Hands-on experience with BMC TrueSight and/or BMC Helix .
- Experience managing:
- Presentation Server
- TSIM (TrueSight Infrastructure Management)
- App Visibility
- PATROL Agents & Knowledge Modules
- Strong understanding of:
- Helix Operations Management
- Helix Discovery
- CMDB
- Event Correlation & Event Management
- Ability to work directly with clients and technical teams.

Nice to Have

- Python, Bash, or PowerShell scripting.
- REST API integrations.
- JSON/YAML configurations.
- Basic SQL knowledge.
- Experience with:
- SNMP, WMI, Log Monitoring
- ITIL processes (Incident, Problem & Change Management)
- Prometheus, Grafana
- AWS and Azure

Certifications

- BMC TrueSight or BMC Helix Certification (preferred).
