Finance Manager | PE-Backed Services Business | Barcelona

We're working with a private equity-backed services business in Barcelona, part of a wider group of companies that work closely together across finance, operations and reporting. They're looking for a hands-on Finance Manager to own the finance function for the Barcelona entity, with a clear path to broaden the remit across other businesses in the group over time.

Reporting to the Finance Director and working closely with group finance leadership, this is a chance to take real ownership of a finance function, improve how it runs, and grow your role as the group develops.

The role

- Own day-to-day finance operations: invoicing, accounts payable, collections, bank payments, reconciliations, expenses and intercompany
- Run month-end close and monthly reporting, and maintain cashflow forecasting, reporting performance into group finance
- Manage and improve revenue recognition, including project accounting against budget, plus fixed and intangible assets
- Own the finance systems stack (Xero-based) and drive automation, integrations and process improvement
- Manage external payroll and tax advisors,



including Spanish tax reporting and compliance
- Work alongside finance colleagues across the group on cashflow reporting, shared initiatives and improvement projects, with scope to take on responsibility for other group entities as the role grows

What they're looking for

- 3 to 6 years' finance experience, ideally including time in a small or growing business
- Practice or audit background is a plus
- Strong accounting fundamentals and solid month-end and reporting experience
- Hands-on with Xero or similar, and comfortable improving systems and processes
- Good working knowledge of the Spanish tax environment
- Fluent English and Spanish
- Proactive, independent and comfortable managing multiple priorities
