About the Role

We are looking for an experienced Forward Deployed Engineer with a strong background in full-stack software development, product thinking, and AI integration. The idóneo candidate will be able to translate business needs into practical technology solutions, taking ownership of the entire development lifecycle, from initial concept to production.

This role combines hands-on software engineering with a strong focus on AI-powered solutions, generative AI, and process automation. You will work closely with business and technical stakeholders to identify opportunities, design and build scalable applications, and deliver solutions that create tangible business value.

We are looking for a versatile, autonomous, and product-oriented engineer who can adapt to different technologies, make informed technical decisions, and operate effectively in a dynamic environment.

Key Responsibilities

- Work directly with business and technical stakeholders to understand requirements and translate them into effective software solutions.
- Design, develop, and deploy end-to-end software solutions, including web applications, platforms, integrations, and internal tools.
- Identify opportunities to incorporate generative AI and automation into business applications and workflows.
- Take ownership of the full software development lifecycle, from solution design and architecture to implementation, testing, and production deployment.
- Apply product thinking to define scope, prioritize features, and ensure solutions deliver measurable business value.
- Select appropriate technologies and technical approaches based on project requirements.
- Manage your own workload, planning, estimations, and backlog using Agile methodologies such as Scrum or Kanban.
- Communicate progress, technical decisions, risks,



and recommendations clearly to technical and business stakeholders in English.
- Document developed solutions to ensure maintainability, scalability, and knowledge transfer.

Required Skills & Experience

- Senior-level experience in software engineering, with a proven track record of building and deploying complete software solutions into production.
- Strong full-stack development capabilities and the ability to work across different technologies and application layers.
- Experience developing web applications, platforms, APIs, integrations, and internal business tools.
- Strong product mindset and ability to translate business requirements into technical solutions.
- Experience working with Agile methodologies, particularly Scrum or Kanban.
- High level of autonomy, ownership, and problem-solving skills, with the ability to organize and prioritize work independently.
- Fluent professional English, both written and spoken.
- Availability to work on a freelance basis (self-employed).
- Ability to attend occasional onsite sessions in Barcelona when required.

Nice to Have

- Previous experience in client-facing technical roles, such as Forward Deployed Engineer, Solutions Engineer, or Technology Consultant.
- Hands-on experience integrating generative AI capabilities into business applications.
- Experience with AI-powered solutions, workflow automation, or intelligent business processes.
- Knowledge of cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or GCP.
- Experience with CI/CD pipelines and modern software deployment practices.
- Previous experience in regulated industries or environments with high standards for security, quality, and traceability.
