In this role you will support the Wind Global Machine Head Driveline hardware lifecycle, focusing on main bearing covers, seals, and main shafts for utility-scale turbines. You will collaborate across quality, manufacturing, and sourcing to ensure reliable, build-to-spec components and drive continuous improvement. The position combines design, testing, and field support to resolve issues and reduce lifetime costs.

You will influence design practices and introduce advanced methods to meet cost and reliability targets. This is a hands-on opportunity to shape critical drivetrain components for wind turbines at scale.

Compensaciones / Beneficios

- Lead projects for new product introduction, technology integration, and field issue resolution with a focus on quality and reliability
- Design build-to-spec seals and build-to-print covers and main shafts, considering specifications, system interactions, and reliability
- Own design documentation, including lessons learned, best practices, drawings, and specifications
- Develop and execute testing/validation plans to prove component function and reliability
- Provide innovative design solutions to meet aggressive cost, timing, and reliability targets
- Ensure quality of drawings, BoMs, and specifications per GE and industry standards




- Work cross-functionally with quality, manufacturing, sourcing, suppliers, and field support to improve product quality and first-time yield
- Support manufacturing, sourcing, and field with issue resolution and quick corrective actions for design-related causes
- Lead rapid root cause analysis of field failures and implement design-related corrective actions
- Identify and implement cost-saving ideas and new design tools/methods to advance yaw subsystem components

Responsabilidades

- Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering
- Substantial mechanical analysis and design experience
- Working knowledge of technical drawings, GDu0026T, and manufacturing
- Experience with 3D-CAD tools like Unigraphics / xugodme Siemens NX
- Excellent communication, project management, interpersonal, and presentation skills
- Proven ability to lead general projects across cultures
- Ability to work under pressure and challenging conditions
- Established problem solving process knowledge and execution
- Strong desire and ability to drive improvement and change
- Fluent English written and spoken
- For USA-based roles: authorized to work in the US on a full-time basis (no sponsorship)
