Senior Backend Engineer at Swiss Re’s IT Resilience unit, shaping resilient backend services and AI-enabled automation. You will work across APIs, integrations and automation, contributing to engineering resilience and mentoring others. The role spans multiple languages and platforms, with a focus on turning complex challenges into pragmatic solutions. You’ll help build AI Agent capabilities and scalable systems within a collaborative SACM team that informs technology management across the organization.

• Contribute to AI Agent and intelligent automation capabilities from exploration to deployment
• Collaborate with enterprise data and databases to support integration and transformation needs
• Provide technical and design input alongside Solutions Architect to translate resilience challenges into maintainable solutions
• Build and operate software with automated testing, CI/CD, containerisation,



observability and cloud deployment
• Mentor junior engineers and raise engineering standards across design, testing and problem solving
• Share knowledge to develop reusable engineering patterns and practices across the team

Responsabilidades
• 6+ years of professional software engineering experience at a senior level
• Proficiency in Python and Go with ability to work with unfamiliar technologies
• Strong SQL and relational database knowledge, including data integration and ETL-like workloads
• Experience with cloud platforms (Azure, AWS or GCP) and modern engineering practices (CI/CD, testing, source control, production support)
• Strong system and solution design skills and good communication with mentoring experience
• Curiosity and learning agility around emerging technologies, with interest in practical AI and automation capabilities
