The Barcelona Institute for Integral Health (ISGlobal) is a cutting-edge institute addressing global public health challenges through research, translation into policy and education. ISGlobal has a broad portfolio in communicable and non-communicable diseases including environmental and climate determinants, and applies a multidisciplinary scientific approach ranging from the molecular to the population level. Research is organized in five programs: Climate, Air Pollution, Nature and Urban Health; Environment and Health over the Lifecourse; Global Viral and Bacterial Infections; Malaria and Neglected Parasitic Diseases and Maternal Child and Reproductive Health. ISGlobal is accredited with the Severo Ochoa distinction, a seal of excellence of the Spanish Science Ministry.

ICREA, the Catalan Institution for Research and Advanced Studies, offers permanent positions in the Catalan research system for senior researchers. In 2027, the call is expected to open on the second half of January 2027 for the areas of Experimental Sciences & Mathematics and Engineering Sciences.

WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR

We are particularly interested in outstanding senior research leaders using and/or developing cutting-edge artificial intelligence (AI) methods to improve global health, who are interested in applying for an ICREA position at ISGlobal in the coming call (Experimental Sciences & Mathematics and Engineering Science).

Specifically,



we are looking for senior research leaders in an expansive phase of their career with an outstanding research record and leadership in using and/or developing AI methods to improve global health, highly motivated and committed to join ISGlobal and to its mission, "Improve global health and promote health equity, through excellence in research, translation and application of knowledge".

REQUIREMENTS

- PhD degree obtained before 2023

- Relevant international exposure at pre-doctoral and/or post-doctoral level

- Not holding a permanent position in the Catalan research system before 1st March 2025
