The Senior Tax Accountant Role
An expanding tax department presents an opportunity for a Senior Tax Accountant. Reporting to the Tax Manager, the Senior Tax Accountant will be jointly responsible as an individual contributor for overseeing the company’s EMEA and APAC direct tax processes, compliance and initiatives. This is an excellent opportunity for a hands-on individual to make a long-term impact within the organization.
What makes this role interesting?
• Review or assist with EMEA and APAC corporate tax returns prepared by external advisors
• Perform research as required to ensure accuracy of tax filings
• Review or assist with the preparation of the annual and quarterly worldwide U.S.
GAAP tax provision
• Communicate with tax authorities in a timely manner regarding any communications or notices received
• Manage EMEA and APAC direct tax payments
• Support the accounting team in the Shared Services Center during audit procedures for local country GAAP financials in the EMEA and APAC region
• Active communication and cooperation with the accounting, revenue and accounts payable teams in the Shared Services Center and the IT team
• Execute direct tax controls needed for EMEA and APAC compliance
• Take responsibility and ownership of relationships at appropriate levels in the organization
• Oversee and assume ownership of the direct tax processes in EMEA and APAC including compliance with tax filing deadlines and tax calendar
• Support the monitoring of general and local Pillar II legislative developments and help translate them into practical data and process requirement
