WHAT TO EXPECT DAY TO DAY
We're looking for a talented Backend Software Engineer to join our development team and help build solutions that transform complex energy data into meaningful insights. You'll contribute to an existing platform that enables the visualisation of data collected from IoT devices monitoring the electrical grid, alongside asset tracking, analysis, and displacement monitoring.

You'll be joining a dynamic and innovative environment, working closely with cross-functional teams to develop cutting-edge technology. On a day-to-day basis, you'll be designing and maintaining backend microservices, building and enhancing APIs, improving deployment pipelines, tackling infrastructure challenges, and contributing to the ongoing evolution of our platform. You'll collaborate closely with Frontend Engineers, Data Engineers, DevOps Engineers, Product Owners, and a Scrum Master to deliver high-quality solutions.

The team is developing a system that monitors and analyses the health of the electrical grid, helping identify faults and power disruptions before they impact end consumers.

The platform also provides in-depth analysis of critical assets using data collected across the energy network, enabling better decision-making and improved reliability.

You'll have the opportunity to work with modern technologies including Python FastAPI, Docker, Kubernetes, MQTT, AWS, and more. We encourage continuous learning and innovation, giving you the freedom to explore new technologies, stay current with industry trends, and share your ideas and expertise with the wider team.

Most importantly, you'll be part of a team that's passionate about using technology to solve complex real-world challenges and make a meaningful impact. If the opportunity to help shape the future of energy excites you, we'd love to hear from you.
