We're looking for a

Software Engineer

with

5+ years of experience

to join our amazing team, working on a software product for a general leader in industrial automation. You'll be part of a multidisciplinary team in Barcelona, collaborating closely with teams in Japan, the United States and the Netherlands, developing Drives Configuration and Programming software.

Transform requirements into software specifications, Features and User Stories

Design and implement new functionality, extending and evolving the software platform

Participate in code and design reviews, contributing to continuous improvement

Work closely with software, test and application engineers, as well as other stakeholders, to improve product quality

Influence schedule, feature and product design decisions

Identify bottlenecks and bugs, and devise solutions to address them

Ensure the best possible performance, quality and responsiveness of the software

Stay up to date with new technologies relevant to the product

Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science or a related field

5+ years of experience as a Software Engineer, with strong ownership across the full software development lifecycle (from design to post-release)

Strong expertise in the Microsoft ecosystem:

C#, .NET and desktop application development (WPF and React are a plus)

Solid understanding of software engineering fundamentals: SOLID principles, clean architecture and scalable system design

Proven experience applying design patterns, writing maintainable code, performing code reviews and unit testing

Experience with CI/CD, DevOps and collaborative development workflows

Familiarity with cloud platforms (Azure or AWS)



and distributed systems concepts

Experience or exposure to modern front-end technologies, especially React, and integration with backend services

Comfortable working with modern development tools and approaches (AI-assisted development, Copilots, rapid prototyping)

Nice to have: industrial automation knowledge (PLC, Motion Control, Inverter, Servo, etc.) and experience in web/mobile development
