Role Overview We are looking for a Product Engineer to join the Business Change & Engineering team. This role involves developing new insurance product propositions for a multi‑year transformation program across our European Commercial Insurance markets. Key Responsibilities * Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to design, develop, test, and maintain new insurance products. * Gather and assess feedback from customers and stakeholders such as Underwriting, Sales, and Claims to identify product requirements and improvement opportunities. * Facilitate change management during new product introduction, ensuring intelligent design and simplification. * Prioritize, plan, and execute initiatives with the product and pricing team, evaluate usability, and ensure readiness for business implementation.
* Develop structured product models tailored to flow for the Lower Middle Market customer segment. * Configure products using Xmind and Advanced Product Designer, with Guidewire as the supporting technology suite. * Conduct analyses of competitors’ products and pricing strategies to inform market positioning; maintain knowledge of industry trends and product lines. Required Qualifications * Bachelor’s degree and at least 2 years of experience in product development, OR high school diploma with strong experience in the area. * Knowledge of property, casualty, and specialty insurance underwriting. * Familiarity with underwriting function guidelines, practices, and governance controls. Preferred Qualifications * 3–5 years of experience in product development. * Comprehensive understanding of sales and distribution channels. * Working knowledge of insurance software packages, particularly Guidewire, Xmind, and APD. * Ability to build and maintain collaborative prof
