One method, many products
Mainloop is an engineering company in Barcelona. We own what we build and we answer to ourselves. You get the interesting part of a new company, with a real customer and real products from day one.
What we build is the software that automates professional-services work — across roughly fifteen countries, for businesses that are drowning in process. We work in two halves. One half goes into a business, works out what actually happens there, and builds a prototype fast enough to prove it is worth having. The other half — this half — takes that prototype and turns it into something a company depends on.
Most automation teams only have the first half, which is why most of them have a drawer full of demos and nothing in production.
We are hiring the senior engineer for the second half.
This is one seat, and it is a senior one. Most of our products are owned day to day by Full-Stack Product Engineers — one person holding the users, the roadmap and the build. The largest have a Product Owner and an engineer as a pair. Your job is the engineering all of them stand on. If you would rather own one product end to end, users included, the Full-Stack Product Engineer ad is the better fit.
What the job actually is
You are the technical anchor of the Tech Lab. Every project starts from the same scaffold and builds on the same shared packages, and you own both. You set the architecture of anything non-trivial before it is built, you hold the engineering standard, and you are the person the Product Engineers come to when a prob
