, we are looking for a
Senior Strategic Sourcing & New Product Introduction (NPI) Consultant
to support an international industrial company specializing in advanced power conversion technologies and electrical systems.
The selected professional will work closely with
R&D;, Engineering and Supply Chain teams
to identify innovative sourcing opportunities, optimize product costs and support new product development initiatives.
The role requires a combination of
technical understanding, strong supplier market knowledge and strategic procurement expertise
, with a particular focus on identifying alternative components, technologies and manufacturing solutions.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead strategic sourcing activities supporting New Product Introduction (NPI) and product development projects.
- Collaborate with R&D; and Engineering teams to understand technical specifications and identify alternative components, materials and suppliers.
- Drive
cost reduction and value engineering initiatives
to improve product competitiveness.
- Conduct international supplier scouting, market analysis and technical-commercial evaluations.
- Identify and assess alternative manufacturing technologies and sourcing solutions.
- Evaluate supplier proposals considering cost, technical performance, quality, reliability and lead times.
- Support supplier qualification, development and sourcing strategy implementation.
- Analyze product cost structures and identify opportunities for supply chain optimization.
- Coordinate cross-functional initiatives involving R&D;, Engineering, Procurement and Manufacturing.
- Ensure the timely execution of sourcing and cost optimization projects.
Requirements
- Degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Electronics or Industrial Engineering, or equivalent technical background.
- Approximately 10+ years of experience
in Strategic Sourcing, Procurement, Supplier Development or NPI within industrial or manufacturing environments.
