ICON is seeking a Vendor Scoping Lead to manage end-to-end scoping, budgeting, and vendor selection for clinical and non-clinical studies across a general development portfolio. The role negotiates clinical trial budgets up to €100M+ and ensures study timelines and budget integrity through accurate, competitive vendor proposals.
Responsibilities
- Manage end-to-end scoping, budgeting, and vendor selection for development and regional studies
- Negotiate clinical trial budgets with service providers and ensure cost competitiveness and alignment
- Prepare scoping documentation, RFP materials, and governance packages for study teams
- Coordinate with study teams, finance, and contract services to translate approved scope into executed agreements
- Support vendor landscape evaluation, preferred vendor maintenance, and outsourcing strategy execution

Requirements




- Bachelor's degree in life sciences, business administration, finance, or related field
- 5+ years drug development experience with clinical scoping, outsourcing, or vendor management
- Minimum 4 years clinical operations, vendor management, procurement, or financial analysis in pharma/CRO
- Demonstrated experience negotiating vendor scopes and budgets with clinical service providers
- Solid understanding of clinical trial budgeting, RFP processes, and outsourcing governance models
- Advanced cost modeling, scenario analysis, and financial acumen
- Fluency in English (written and oral); additional languages preferred
