Offer Description Introduction to the vacant position:
The Cellular and Molecular Mechanobiology Group is looking for a pre-doctoral researcher to work on a project aimed at understanding how mechanical forces are sensed by cells and transmitted to the nucleus. The project will involve implementing and using advanced experimental setups to manipulate the cell mechanical environment, molecular tools to interfere with the cell mechanotransduction machinery, and computational tools to analyze and interpret data.



The project will also explore potential avenues to harness mechanotransduction mechanisms for potential therapeutic and diagnostic tools in cancer. The PhD project will be conducted in the framework of the project entitled: Role of force transmission between cell-cell adhesions and the nucleus in mechanotransduction.
This fellowship is associated with the research project Generación de Conocimiento, funded by the Spanish Ministry of Science, Innovation and Universities.
Main tasks and responsibilities:
- Implementation and use of biophysical and mechanical techniques to manipulate the cell mechanical environment.
- Implementation and use of molecular techniques to interfere with the cell mechanotransduction machinery.
- Development of a research project to understand and harness mechanotransduction mechanisms.

Requirements for candidates:
