For an international organization operating in the clinical research and laboratory services sector, we are looking for an experienced Senior Business Development Manager to drive business growth, acquire new clients and develop long-term commercial relationships.
Key responsibilities:
- Identify, prospect and acquire new clients within the clinical research, pharmaceutical and biotechnology sectors.
- Develop new business opportunities and build long-term relationships with pharmaceutical companies, biotech organizations, CROs and other clinical research stakeholders.
- Manage the full sales cycle, from lead generation and initial client contact through needs analysis, proposal development, negotiations and contract closure.
- Review and interpret clinical trial protocols to understand client requirements and identify appropriate laboratory service solutions.
- Coordinate the preparation of complex proposals in close collaboration with proposal teams, subject matter experts and internal stakeholders.
- Work cross-functionally
- Conduct client meetings,



presentations and business reviews, representing the company at relevant industry conferences and events.
- Develop and maintain a strong sales pipeline, monitor KPIs and take ownership of sales targets and revenue growth.
- Contribute to the development of commercial strategies and the continuous improvement of sales processes.

Requirements:
- Proven experience in business development, sales or commercial roles, ideally within clinical research, laboratory services, pharmaceuticals, biotechnology or CROs.
- A strong track record in new business acquisition, prospecting and converting opportunities into signed contracts.
- Experience managing complex, consultative sales processes involving multiple stakeholders.
- The ability to understand technical requirements and translate client needs into tailored service proposals.
