Nuria Flames’ group at the Instituto de Biomedicina de Valencia, Spain (IBV-CSIC) employs a multidisciplinary approach combining cellular biology, genomics, molecular genetics and bioinformatics both in murine and C. elegans animal models to investigate the transcriptional and post-transcriptional mechanisms involved in specification, plasticity and evolution of neuron-types relevant in health and in disease. The lab is currently funded by the Spanish government and European Union (ERC Consolidation grant).
The group is searching for highly motivated researcher interested in carrying out their predoctoral training in a stimulating scientific environment.
