The role of a Privacy Counsel at Euronet involves supporting legal and strategic guidance on data protection and privacy compliance across the organization.
ROLES & RESPONSIBILITIES
- Support the Privacy Office and EU business teams by providing basic data protection and privacy guidance, under supervision, to help manage privacy risks and support business needs.
- Assist with drafting and reviewing Data Privacy and Data Transfer Agreements in cooperation with local internal counsel, and support negotiations with third parties.
- Support EU Privacy Consultants in addressing local regulatory requirements and day‐to‐day compliance topics.
- Support documentation of data processing activities, including identifying lawful bases for processing, data transfers, and contributing to Privacy Impact Assessments (PIAs).
- Monitor developments in EU and local data protection regulations and help share relevant updates with the Privacy Office and business stakeholders while managing multiple tasks and priorities.

POSITION REQUIREMENTS




- Qualified lawyer (admitted or in the final stage of qualification) in Lithuania or another EU/EEA jurisdiction
- At least 6 months' experience in a corporate, consulting, or law‐firm environment
- Initial hands‐on exposure to data protection, privacy, compliance, or regulatory work
- Fluent English as a working language, with strong written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to work independently and proactively in a matrixed, multi‐entity and multi‐jurisdictional environment, with good judgment on when to elevate

NICE TO HAVE:
- Hands‐on exposure to GDPR compliance activities (e.g. DPAs, international data transfers, DPIAs/PIAs, RoPA, DSRs, breach handling)
- Formal privacy training or strong interest in pursuing certifications such as IAPP CIPP/E or ISO‐related privacy paths
- Additional language skills (Lithuanian and/or other EU languages) or prior exposure to financial services / FinTech
