is looking for a technically driven

High Voltage (HV) & Battery Energy Storage Systems (BESS) Engineer

to support the development, implementation, and operation of utility-scale renewable energy projects across Europe.

This exciting opportunity combines expertise in high-voltage electrical infrastructure, substations, grid connection engineering, and battery energy storage systems (BESS). You will work across both stand-alone and hybrid renewable energy projects, supporting project development, construction, commissioning, and asset optimisation.

Key Responsibilities
High Voltage Grid Connection & Substations

Lead engineering activities related to MV/HV substations and grid connection infrastructure

Assess grid connection opportunities and determine optimal technical solutions

Develop and review single-line diagrams, protection systems, control concepts, cable routing, grounding systems, and grid studies

Coordinate with transmission system operators (TSOs), distribution network operators (DSOs),



EPC contractors, and equipment suppliers

Support permitting and grid connection application processes

Battery Energy Storage Systems (BESS)

Lead engineering activities for utility-scale BESS projects

Define battery storage sizing and technical concepts

Review BESS layouts, PCS integration, EMS systems, SCADA interfaces, and fire safety solutions

Support technical due diligence and lender requirements

Prepare tender packages and evaluate suppliers

Participate in technical discussions and contract negotiations

Project Implementation

Review engineering documentation and issue designs for construction

Support construction and commissioning activities

Develop engineering standards, technical requirements, and best-practice documentation

Assist with energisation activities and commercial operation milestones
