We are now building our first manufacturing site in Spain, located in Linares (Jaén) — and we are expanding our local Digital & IT team.

Position: Accountant The Senior Accountant Shared Services (m/f/d) ensures the accuracy, timeliness, and compliance of accounting operations within the Shared Services environment. The role is responsible for overseeing and executing core accounting processes, including general ledger accounting, subsidiary ledgers (including fixed asset and bank accounting), accounts payable, accounts receivable, period-end closing, account reconciliations, and financial reporting support. The position ensures adherence to applicable accounting standards, local GAAP requirements, internal controls, and company policies while contributing to the continuous improvement and standardization of Shared Services processes.

What You Will Do

Accounting Management & Supervision (50%)

- General Ledger: Prepare and review daily journal entries, accruals, deferrals, and provisions.
- Subsidiary Ledgers: Oversee Accounts Payable (AP), Accounts Receivable (AR), fixed assets, and bank accounting.




- Operational Control: Validate vendor invoices, customer transactions, employee expenses, and corporate credit cards.
- Account Reconciliations: Perform regular reconciliations to investigate and resolve discrepancies.
- Master Data: Maintain and update accounting master data within the ERP system.

Financial Reporting (30%)

- Financial Statements: Support the preparation and verification of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.
- External Reporting: Review and validate financial data submitted to external stakeholders.

Audit & Compliance (10%)

- Audit Support: Prepare documentation, provide explanations, and assist internal and external auditors.

Continuous Improvement (10%)

- Process Optimization: Identify opportunities to standardize and improve accounting workflows within the Shared Services organization.

What We Are Looking For

Experience & Background

- Senior Accounting Professional: 5+ years of solid accounting experience, ideally within medium-to-large manufacturing industries.
- Industry Expertise: Deep understanding of manufacturing accounting operations and business structures.
- International Environment: Proven experience working within multicultural,



international teams across different locations in Europe.

Technical & Financial Skills

- Financial Expertise (Expert Level): Strong expert knowledge of European accounting standards, local financial policies, and tax regulations (such as IFRS or HGB).
- Systems & Tools (Application Level): Hands-on experience with SAP (FI-CO) and proficiency in standard financial software.
- Data & Analytics (Application Level): Sharp data analysis skills applied to daily financial operations and processing.
- Office Tools (Application Level): Advanced user of Microsoft Office, especially Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.

Soft Skills & Languages

- Language Proficiency (Expert Level): Fluent in English and German as primary working languages. Knowledge of Spanish is a strong plus.
- Cross-Cultural Communication: Exceptional internal and external coordination skills with a strong trend toward global collaboration.
