Key Objectives/Deliverables:

Project Management: Lead and manage capital projects consisting of contracted professionals to safely achieve project objectives from front end design through operational qualification. The objectives for projects include: safety/environmental compliance and continuous improvement, relentless pursuit of value improvements via cost or schedule enhancements at all delivery stages, fulfillment of project business objectives in the form of capability delivered with adherence to quality objectives.

Safety/Environment: Develop and maintain safety and environmental execution plans for projects. Ensure compliance to safety and environmental policies, procedures, and work rules for project personnel, contractors, and subcontractors from conceptual design through operational qualification. The PM is also expected to demonstrate leadership and continuous improvement in safety and environmental processes.

Compliance: Lead with a disciplined, structured approach to project management based on industry accepted project management tool-sets..

Interface/Communication: Develop and maintain effective communication with project team, business partners and other stakeholders. Projects will be of strategic importance to the Enterprise so the ability to effectively communicate with a wide variety of stakeholders is of utmost importance with attention to detail and the ability to relate those details to the overall business objective.



The PM must effectively work with site personnel to ensure that capabilities are delivered and consistent with the needs of the operation while maintaining safety, cost, and schedule conformance.

Culture: In certain circumstances the PM may need to interact with the external environment. The PM therefore must represent the client to external partners and to the community. The PM must demonstrate the ability to foster the right culture on the worksite as well as convey this externally

Required Skill Sets and Attributes:

- The capacity to achieve results through people.
- Facilitate issue resolution, anticipate scope changes, and implement safely with quality, speed and value.
- Must exhibit a good sense of judgment in decision making, without the need for management approval while at the same time keeping management informed and engaged on critical issues.
- In depth knowledge of, and experience in, the application of industry accepted project management experience. Demonstrated value for a disciplined, structured approach to project management and the ability to create and communicate progress via a metric based program.
- Effective communication skills both written and verbal.
- Ability to influence personnel and organizations without having direct administrative responsibility for them.
- Influence on and understanding of the external environment in order to understand comparative value and possible risks.

Educational Requirements:

- Third Level Qualification or equivalent preferably in an engineering / project management field
- Minimum of 10 years of work experience across major pharmaceutical start up’s
