This announcement concerns candidate recruitment for a competitive ??? ???? ??????????? ?????????? application. The selected candidate will apply for funding through the Spanish Ministry of Science, Innovation and Universities. ????????? ?? ??? ???????? ????? ???? ??? ????????? ?????????? ??????? ?? ?? ?????????? ????????. Appointment is conditional on a successful funding application and fulfilment of the applicable eligibility and doctoral admission requirements.

This PhD project aims to develop and validate an ??-???????? ??????? ???????? integrating these factors into evidence-based composite-product design and development.

The doctoral researcher will create a ???????? ???????? linking materials, processing conditions and product performance, and develop ?????????? ?????? to identify promising ????????–???????–?????? combinations. ?????????????? ??? ??????-??-?????? criteria will support the comparison of alternative solutions. ?? ?????? will help users interact with validated computational tools while explicitly identifying uncertainty and evidence limitations.

Research activities will combine experimental materials development, composite manufacturing, mechanical testing, physicochemical characterisation, modelling, machine learning, sustainability assessment and technology transfer.

The intended outcome is an ???? ??? ???????????? ???????? ???? supporting evidence-based product development and investigating when AI can effectively assist engineering design involving complex composite materials and products.
