In this role you will drive the Nova Digital Shelf product, delivering end-to-end capabilities from backend integrations to user-facing experiences. You will work with UX/Product and engineering leadership to refine scope, iterate quickly, and manage risks to ensure predictable delivery. You’ll build robust backend services and high-quality frontend apps, with an emphasis on API contracts, data models, and scalable integration patterns.

As a senior IC, you’ll mentor others, set coding standards, and contribute to CI/CD, observability, and reliability. This opportunity blends startup agility with PepsiCo scale, leveraging AI components to shape digital commerce intelligence.

- Own end-to-end product capabilities for Nova, from backend integration to user interfaces
- Collaborate with UX/Product and engineering leadership to refine requirements and sequencing
- Provide accurate estimates, identify dependencies, and manage risks
- Balance delivery with maintainability through architectural improvements
- Design and implement backend services, APIs, and integrations with enterprise systems
- Develop workflow-driven experiences beyond dashboards and ensure usability and performance of frontend
- Define API contracts and data models for cross-component collaboration




- Serve as technical anchor, influence design, and mentor others
- Establish automated testing strategies and contribute to CI/CD pipelines
- Improve observability, release practices, and reduce technical debt
- Collaborate with data engineering, BI, and data science to deliver end-to-end solutions
- Respond to incidents and drive root-cause analysis for reliability
- Mentor engineers, promote best practices, and stay current with technologies
- Identify process improvements and drive adoption across the team

Responsabilidades

- 5+ years of software engineering experience
- Experience collaborating with data engineers, BI engineers, data scientists, and product managers
- Experience xugodme with Elixir or similar functional languages (Scala, Erlang, Clojure) or willingness to learn
- Familiarity with modern data stack (Snowflake, dbt, Airflow, Azure, AWS)
- Understanding of BI tools and ML integrations within products
- Proven ability to establish or improve engineering best practices (clean architecture, testing, CI/CD, documentation, code reviews)
- Exposure to data science or ML-enabled features via APIs or pipelines
- Ability to work with ambiguity and evolving scope
- Strong prioritization balancing long-term scalability with short-term delivery
- Strong communication and cross-functional collaboration skills
