In this role you lead a team of library engineers to advance Datadog’s SDKs for 9 languages, shaping the architecture, APIs, and data models of our open-source instrumentation. You partner with product teams to scale platform capabilities that enable cross-product observability. You stay close to technical work, raise quality and architectural standards, and mentor engineers to grow as technical leaders.

This is a chance to influence open-source, high-performance tooling that underpins Datadog’s APM at scale.

Compensaciones / Incentivos

- Lead, grow, and develop a team of 4–8 library engineers with coaching and mentorship
- Own team delivery and productivity, including planning, milestones, and reviews
- Collaborate with Product teams to reshape platform capabilities for cross-product needs
- Define and deliver industry-leading,



open-source APM instrumentation with zero-touch integration
- Maintain strong technical judgment, uphold high quality standards, contribute code where impactful
- Foster cross-language alignment and drive stakeholder buy-in across language teams and backend

Responsabilidades

- Experienced Engineering Manager with a track record of shipping
- Strong, empathetic leader who builds high-performing teams
- Ability to bridge product narratives xugodme and technical implementation
- Significant programming experience in one or more: Go, C, Rust
