We are looking for an experienced Salesforce Solution / Technical Architect to join our Salesforce Practice and lead the architecture of complex, enterprise scale Salesforce solutions.

The Salesforce Architect will be responsible for defining the end to end solution architecture, ensuring that business requirements are translated into scalable, secure, maintainable, and sustainable solutions.

The role requires a strong understanding of the Salesforce platform combined with enterprise architecture, integration, data, security, and governance expertise. The Architect will work closely with clients, business stakeholders, Technical Leads, developers, and other enterprise architects.

CGI Environment

As part of the CGI Salesforce Practice, the Salesforce Architect will play a key role in both client delivery and the development of our Salesforce expertise.

Beyond project assignments, the Architect will contribute to architecture standards, reusable assets, innovation initiatives, solution design, pre sales activities, technical communities, and the mentoring of Salesforce consultants.

The role also provides the opportunity to contribute to emerging Salesforce capabilities, including Agentforce, Data 360, AI driven solutions, and Industry Clouds, helping CGI design and deliver the next generation of Salesforce solutions for our clients.

Your future duties and responsibilities

- Define the end to end architecture of Salesforce solutions based on business and IT requirements.
- Translate business needs into coherent functional and technical architecture.
- Define the appropriate use of Salesforce standard capabilities versus custom development, promoting a standard first approach.
- Design scalable solutions across Sales Cloud, Service Cloud, Experience Cloud, and other Salesforce products when relevant.
- Define integration architecture between Salesforce and the client's information system using APIs, middleware, event driven patterns, and other integration mechanisms.
- Define data architecture, including data models, data flows, data quality, migration, and data lifecycle considerations.
- Define and validate security architecture, including access models, sharing, identity, authentication, and authorization.
- Ensure solutions comply with Salesforce platform best practices, performance constraints, and governor limits.
- Lead architecture workshops and facilitate technical decision making with client stakeholders.
- Produce and maintain architecture documentation, solution designs, integration diagrams, and technical guidelines.
- Review and validate technical designs proposed by Technical Leads and development teams.




- Identify architectural risks, dependencies, and technical debt and define appropriate mitigation strategies.
- Support technical teams throughout the project lifecycle, from design to deployment and production.
- Contribute to technical estimations, project scoping, and solution feasibility assessments.
- Collaborate with enterprise, security, integration, data, and infrastructure architects to ensure alignment with the client's overall IT landscape.

Required Qualifications To Be Successful In This Role

- Minimum 8–10 years of experience in Salesforce, with significant experience in architecture roles.
- Proven experience as a Salesforce Solution Architect and/or Technical Architect on complex transformation programs.
- Strong expertise across the Salesforce platform, particularly: Sales Cloud Service Cloud Experience Cloud Salesforce security and sharing model Salesforce data model and platform capabilities Salesforce Flow and automation Apex and Lightning Web Components principles
- Strong understanding of enterprise integration patterns, including REST/SOAP APIs, Platform Events, middleware, and asynchronous integrations.
- Strong knowledge of data architecture, data migration, and data governance.
- Solid understanding of identity, security, SSO, OAuth, and access management.
- Good understanding of Salesforce development lifecycle, DevOps and CI/CD practices.
- Ability to assess non functional requirements including performance, scalability, security, availability, and maintainability.
- Ability to make and document architecture decisions and clearly explain associated trade offs.

Architecture & Leadership
- Ability to define and communicate a clear Salesforce architecture vision and roadmap.
- Ability to lead architecture and design workshops with senior business and IT stakeholders.
- Ability to challenge requirements and recommend appropriate solutions based on Salesforce capabilities and enterprise constraints.
- Provide technical leadership to Technical Leads, Senior Developers, and development teams.
- Ensure consistency across multiple teams, applications, and Salesforce initiatives.
- Define architecture principles, development standards, reusable patterns, and governance frameworks.




- Contribute to design authorities and architecture governance boards.
- Support and mentor technical teams and contribute to the development of Salesforce expertise within the organization.

Nice to Have
- Experience with OmniStudio.
- Knowledge of Agentforce and Data 360.
- Experience with Financial Services Cloud or other Salesforce Industry Clouds.
- Knowledge of MuleSoft or other enterprise integration platforms.
- Experience with large scale multi cloud and multi org Salesforce environments.
- Experience with international and complex enterprise transformation programs.
- Salesforce certifications such as: Application Architect System Architect Integration Architect Data Architect Identity & Access Management Architect Sharing & Visibility Architect Salesforce Certified Technical Architect (CTA) is a strong plus.
