About the role
X is a well-established consumer electronics brand across the Middle East, now entering the Spanish market. As Supply Chain Manager, you will build and run the end-to-end supply chain for Spain from the ground up: getting products from our manufacturing and regional hubs to Spanish retailers, e-commerce channels, and customers on time, compliant, and at the right cost.
This is a launch role. You will set up the partners, processes, and planning rhythms that a new market needs, then scale them as volume grows.
What you'll do
- Design the Spain and wider EU supply chain model, including warehousing, transport lanes, and fulfilment for retail, online, and distributor channels.
- Select, contract, and manage third-party logistics (3PL) providers, freight forwarders, customs brokers, and last-mile carriers in Spain.
- Manage inbound flows from our manufacturing sites and regional hubs in the Middle East and Asia, covering ocean, air, and road freight, with a focus on transit time, cost, and reliability.
- Ensure import compliance for consumer electronics in the EU: customs clearance, tariff classification, CE marking, RoHS, WEEE, battery regulations, and packaging and labeling requirements, working with legal and quality teams.
- Lead demand and supply planning with Sales and Marketing, including launch forecasts, safety stock, replenishment, and promotional peaks such as Black Friday and Christmas.
- Own inventory health in Spain: stock accuracy, aging,
obsolescence, and working capital targets.
- Set up returns, repairs, and warranty logistics, including reverse flows and spare parts, in line with Spanish consumer protection rules.
- Build supply chain KPIs and reporting (OTIF, fill rate, landed cost, inventory turns) and run regular reviews with partners and leadership.
- Manage supplier and partner risk, including contingency plans for port delays, component shortages, and demand swings.
What you'll bring
- 10+ years in supply chain, logistics, or operations, with at least 3 in consumer electronics, FMCG, or another fast-moving, high-value product category.
- Proven experience launching or scaling a supply chain in a new market, ideally in Spain or Southern Europe.
- Strong working knowledge of EU import and customs processes, Incoterms, and electronics compliance (CE, RoHS, WEEE).
- Experience managing 3PLs, forwarders, and carriers, including contract negotiation and performance management.
- Solid demand planning and inventory management skills, with fluency in ERP and planning tools (SAP, Oracle, or similar) and advanced Excel or BI.
- Fluent Spanish and professional English;
- Comfort working across cultures and time zones with headquarters, factories, and local partners.
- A hands-on, problem-solving mindset and the ability to work independently in a start-up-like setting inside an established company.
