No Offer Description The department of Economics and Business at UPF is looking for highly motivated candidates for a pre-doctoral fellow position to work in the area of applied economics/political economy.
The position is sponsored by a grant from the European Research Council Ref.: EC-HEu-ERC-CoG-*********–POLARIZE–"Political polarization: causes, consequences, and solutions"-IP Ruben DURANTE.
The position is part-time and will be based in Barcelona (Spain).
The position ideally runs from October **** to July **** (though both start and end dates can be flexible).
The position is idóneo for students with a long-term interest in applied economics, in general, and political economy, in particular, who are looking for research experience prior to starting a PhD.
Indeed, pre-doctoral fellows have gone on to join doctoral programs at top European and U.S. schools in economics, political science, finance, and data science.

Experience working with Natural Language Processing and big data is a plus.
Curiosity, energy, initiative, and attention to details are imperative.
