Edwards Lifesciences seeks a Senior Facilities Engineer to lead automation and building management systems at its Valencia manufacturing plant. The role involves overseeing SCADA/PLC systems, driving facility upgrades, managing preventive maintenance programs, and ensuring regulatory compliance across critical infrastructure.
Responsibilities
- Lead SCADA, PLC automation, and BMS/EMS systems supporting critical facility and utility operations
- Drive automation system upgrades, optimization, and lifecycle improvements with GMP validation requirements
- Develop and implement preventive and predictive maintenance programs to ensure equipment reliability
- Supervise facilities technicians, assign daily tasks, and provide training to achieve department objectives
- Partner with Engineering, Quality, IT/OT,



and Operations teams to resolve automation-related issues and support continuous improvement initiatives

Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering or related discipline
- 5+ years manufacturing environment experience with facilities and building systems engineering
- Demonstrated leadership of SCADA, PLC automation, and Building Management Systems (BMS/EMS)
- Experience driving automation upgrades, troubleshooting, optimization with GMP validation knowledge
- Medical device manufacturing environment experience preferred
- Strong project management and leadership capabilities with proven change influence
- Comprehensive knowledge of facilities regulations, GMP requirements, and EHS compliance
