Offer Description
Mission:
Prepare and rheologically, thermally and mechanically characterize rheologically modified recycled opaque PET using continuous reactive extrusion techniques.
Functions to be developed:
Execute reactive extrusion for rheological modification of opaque recycled PET.
Manufacture the sheets by extrusion and injection molding of the product.
Characterize using DSC, SAOS, DMTA.
Evaluate and quantify fracture behavior using fracture mechanics theories applied to high loading rates (instrumented impact).




Processing by extrusion and injection molding.
Evaluation of fracture behavior at high strain rates applying viscoelastic fracture mechanics theories.
Specific Requirements
Knowledge:
Polymeric materials: processing, rheological behavior and fracture characterization.
Rheological behavior of polymers and their characterization.
Rheological behavior and its characterization by SAOS.
Advanced rheological and thermal characterization.
Reactive extrusion (high level).
Thermal characterization using DSC, DMTA.
Structure-processing-property relationship of polymers and polymer blends.
Additive and compounding of polymers.
It will be assessed:
Master's studies in the area of Materials Science and Engineering.
Professional Experience:
Processing by extrusion and injection molding.
