Role Description

Establish, launch and grow BioScience's company-owned European affiliate businesses from scratch. Own affiliate strategy, hands-on sales execution, daily operations, team development and financial performance, building sustainable and profitable direct commercial operations.

This role suits an ambitious, high-performing sales manager or business development leader ready to step into European business leadership. Combine personal selling with entrepreneurial initiative, team leadership and strategic thinking. Personally win initial accounts, resolve practical issues and build local teams, with strategic coaching from the GM, financial support from the CFO and operational support from HQ.

Key responsibilities

- Affiliate strategy and establishment
- Develop the European affiliate strategy and phased rollout plan with GM coaching. Prepare country business cases, launch budgets, resource plans and milestones with CFO/HQ support for approval.
- Build each affiliate from inception: coordinate entity and operational setup with specialist functions; establish customer service, sales processes, CRM, reporting and local ways of working.
- Define local go-to-market plans, customer segments, product mix, pricing and channel strategy within group policies. Sequence launches according to market readiness and approved resources.
- Personal sales and business development
- Personally prospect, visit clinics and healthcare professionals, present the product portfolio, negotiate commercial terms and close new accounts within approved pricing and credit limits.
- Build and manage an active sales pipeline, convert initial customers into repeat purchasers and retain direct involvement in strategic accounts as teams grow.
- Develop local professional networks and coordinate customer education, product training and promotional activities with Medical and Marketing.
- Team recruitment and field leadership
- Recruit, onboard, train and directly manage local sales representatives and operational support; establish country/affiliate management roles as scale justifies.
- Set clear individual targets, territories and account plans. Conduct pipeline reviews, joint customer visits, field coaching and performance reviews.

- Build a practical, accountable team culture and develop local leaders who can assume increasing day-to-day responsibility.
- Day-to-day operations and cross-functional coordination
- Own daily affiliate execution, including order-to-delivery coordination, customer service, stock planning, sales forecasting, returns coordination and payment follow-up with Finance and Logistics.
- Resolve customer and operational issues promptly; implement repeatable processes and share effective practices across affiliates.
- Coordinate with Medical/Regulatory, Legal and other specialists to implement applicable requirements, approved product claims, training and complaint-escalation procedures.
- P&L;, performance and governance
- Own each affiliate's and the consolidated European affiliate P&L; within approved budgets; deliver agreed revenue, gross margin and operating performance targets.
- Manage spending, inventory planning and receivables with the CFO; maintain accurate forecasts and take timely corrective action where results fall behind plan.
- Provide monthly commercial, operational and financial reporting to the GM and CFO, including performance against targets, risks, corrective actions and decisions required.

Candidate profile & success measures

Essential qualifications and experience

- Medical device sector experience is mandatory, with a strong record of direct sales to healthcare professionals and clinics.
- Typically five or more years of relevant commercial experience, with consistent personal sales results and readiness to take on broader leadership responsibility.
- Proven sales growth in at least one market and experience contributing to a territory, product or commercial-team launch. Previous independent establishment of a complete affiliate is not required.
- Demonstrated ability to coach and lead salespeople, win new accounts and translate targets into practical action plans.

Ability to assess and recruit team members with HR support.
- Experience managing sales budgets and margins, forecasting and using CRM. Ability and motivation to develop full P&L; ownership under CFO guidance; prior multi-country P&L; responsibility is not required.

- Bachelor's degree in business, a life science, healthcare or a related discipline.

Preferred experience

- Aesthetic injectables experience is strongly preferred, particularly dermal fillers, with an established understanding of aesthetic clinics, practitioners and purchasing behaviour.

Expected outcomes and performance measures

Launch countries in phases, starting with agreed priority markets. The GM/CFO will agree targets, resources and milestones based on readiness, with regular coaching and reviews; simultaneous launch of all markets is not expected.

Reporting and decision-making

- GM: direct reporting for strategy, commercial execution, people management, operational priorities and overall performance.
- CFO: direct reporting for budgets, financial performance, forecasting, margins, working capital and financial controls.
- Work to one jointly agreed set of objectives. The GM coordinates the overall performance review with CFO input. Escalate conflicting priorities for joint resolution.
- Operate within approved budgets and delegated authority. Coordinate specialist legal, regulatory, HR and finance work with the relevant HQ functions and advisers.

Core competencies

Ambition and initiative; personal selling and negotiation; practical problem-solving; willingness to learn; financial discipline; field sales coaching; adaptability; strategic thinking and consistent execution.
