IT Target Operating Model (TOM) Transformation

Location: Madrid, Spain (hybrid, 2-3 days/week onsite)

Engagement: Contract, 6-12 months

Context: Transition of a global IT organization from regional, fragmented structures to a Platform-Centric IT Operating Model.

Purpose: Design and operationalize the integral platform-centric IT Target Operating Model, linking executive digital strategy to organizational structure.

Responsibilities

- Define the global ITOM blueprint, moving from siloed/regional IT to a platform- and product-driven model
- Align C-suite stakeholders (CDIO, CIO, CFO, business leads) on design principles, vision and trade-offs
- Establish governance charters, decision rights (RACI), steering committees and BRM interfaces
- Group applications and capabilities into Business and Tech Platforms (ERP, ServiceNow, Data/AI, Digital Portals)
- Assess org readiness, identify skill/role gaps and define transition paths

- Global decision rights matrix and governance framework
- Business and Tech Platform capability model
- Executive alignment packs and strategy memos

Requirements

- 12 years in technology consulting or enterprise IT leadership, including 5 years leading global ITOM, IT transformation or M&A;/carve-out programs
- Proven delivery of platform-centric, product-led or matrixed IT models in multinational industrial or complex environments
- Knowledge of CMMI, TOGAF, ITIL and Agile governance at scale
- Executive presence and strong stakeholder management across global, regional and country levels
- Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Business Administration or a related field
