Experteer Overview
As a Data Infrastructure Engineer at Doodle, you’ll design, build and run scalable data platforms that keep data reliable, secure and easy to use. You’ll collaborate with SRE, product, engineering, analytics and security teams to simplify data access and enable self-service analytics. Expect to tackle high-throughput, distributed systems and time-series data challenges that power decision-making across the company. You’ll work in a culture that values curiosity, autonomy and impactful, data-driven engineering. This role offers the chance to shape data infrastructure at scale and support a mission to improve scheduling efficiency.
Compensaciones / Ventajas
• Design, build and operate scalable infrastructure for data ingestion, transformation, storage and serving
• Run streaming flows with Kafka and Avro, orchestrate batch workflows in Airflow, and optimize Redshift performance and cost
• Manage secure, reproducible cloud environments with IaC; enforce cost controls
• Own SLOs,



runbooks and alerts for critical data systems, ensuring reliability and security
• Investigate incidents, perform root-cause analysis, and implement preventative improvements
• Improve data discoverability via cataloging, lineage, ownership and quality testing; develop self-service tooling and documentation
Responsabilidades
• 2+ years in data platform engineering or scalable software systems
• Kafka and Avro: schema design, serialization and evolution
• Redshift and production Airflow: data modeling and performance tuning
• Cloud and DevOps: CI/CD, IaC and Kubernetes; data lakes and open table formats
• Observability, incident response and debugging pipeline failures; security-conscious data access, privacy and secrets
• Clear communication with technical and non-technical stakeholders
• dbt experience is a plus
