Effective planning and the delivery of creative and dynamic lessonsfrom Key Stage 3 through to Sixth Form is paramount to promoting the application of your subjectknowledge through a wide range of engaging, practical activities. You should have experienceofteaching the exam syllabus for your subject at both GCSE and IB or equivalent and will strive tomaintain the high standards already set in this subject, promoting inquisitive, reflective andindependent learning and supporting all students to reach their own individual goals.

You shouldbe a strong team player with a practical and versátil approach to problem solving, who is alsokeen to play a leading role in the continuing development and improvement of your subject andthe implementation of a range of new learning initiatives across the school. As a secondary teacher, you will: Uphold public trust in school leadership and maintain high standards of ethics, behaviourand professional conduct. Responsibilities Teaching and Learning Encourage high standards and expectations of behaviour from students by consistentlyimplementing the school policies and procedures. Demonstrate analytical thinking to improve the quality of students' learning throughusing effective teaching techniques and the effective utilisation of resources andassessment. Contribute to the department and school improvement planning process and supportand promote the educational priorities of the school.





Contribute to the development and/or implementation of school policies Use the performance management process to advance student learning and enhanceprofessional practice in line with the school's aspirations and priorities. Provide accurate and detailed assessment of student progress and communicate this tothe students and parents using the school assessments systems. Effectively using homework and other extra-curricular learning opportunities to supportprogress.

To communicate effectively as a form tutor or subject teacher, ensuring timely follow-up(48 hours) and effective resolution where appropriate. To promote and safeguard the welfare of children and young people for whom you areresponsible and with whom you come into contact. To maintain good order and discipline among students and safeguard their health andsafety both when they are on the school premises and when they are engaged inauthorised school activities elsewhere.
