PIERGALLINI TRUCKING LLC is looking for a driven and detail-oriented Assistant Transportation Manager to join our team in Cadiz, OH. Assist in overseeing daily transportation and fleet operations to ensure on-time delivery and complianceCoordinate driver schedules, routes, and load assignments to maximize efficiencyWork with Lead Mechanic to monitor fleet maintenance schedules, inspections, and DOT compliance requirementsServe as a point of contact for drivers, addressing concerns, providing schedules, providing operational support and ensuring adherence to company policies and safety regulations.Post schedule daily in company time keeping applicationAssist with the track and management of vehicle registrations, permits, insurance documentation, and driver filesCoordinate with other business locations for transportation/delivery needsCommunicate with customers, vendors, and internal team members daily to schedule freight and ensure timely deliveriesMaintain accurate records of fleet activity, fuel usage, mileage, and operational costsAssist in identifying and implementing process improvements to increase fleet efficiencyAddress unexpected issues such as vehicle breakdowns, route changes,



or delays promptly to maintain smooth operationsAssist in acquiring new vehicles and disposing of retired assets according to company policyCoordinate annual vehicle physicals: DOT inspections, state safety inspections, and emissions testing as requiredMaintain and order gravel, mulch, and top-soil supply for yardDraft quotes for customers and stay up to date of pricing and permittingAdheres to company rules and regulationsMaintains good attendance, is on-time and dependablePerforms other duties and responsibilities required by business conditions or as assigned by ManagementRequirements:

Previous experience in trucking, logistics, or transportation managementFamiliarity with DOT regulations, FMCSA compliance, and HOS rulesStrong organizational and multitasking skills in a fast-paced environmentExcellent communication skills for coordinating with drivers, staff, and customersProficiency with transportation management software (TMS) or dispatch systems is a plusValid Drivers LicenseClean Driving RecordCDL license or hands-on trucking experience is a strong advantageProblem-solving mindset with the ability to make quick, sound decisionsAbout Us:
