Kevin is a serial founder who has taken two tech ventures to $31M ARR and $7M in revenue. Caprae launched in January 2025 and is now one of the fastest-scaling names in lower-middle-market M&A; and the ETA ecosystem, built on three pieces: an international research engine, a full-stack deal sourcing arm and an expanding tech layer.

The Internship in BriefThis is a high-intensity training ground for future dealmakers. Instead of passive research or slow-paced financial modelling, you learn M&A; the way practitioners do, through live conversations, real negotiation psychology and rapid exposure to deal structuring.

You start with outbound calls: learning to speak with founders, read what motivates them, work through objections and extract deal-relevant information. From as early as four weeks in, you can begin supporting live deals and picking up valuation logic, structure mechanics and the order of events in an ETA transaction. We focus on the human side of M&A; first, because that is where deals are won, and no other internship does that.

Your Day-to-Day

- Daily calls with business owners and executives
- Working through objections, collecting context and learning how founders think
- Learning how buyers and sellers really negotiate, beyond what textbooks say
- Building the skill of controlled, professional persuasion
- Holding conversations that stay structured and move toward an outcome




- Helping structure deals in the lower-middle-market based on what the calls reveal
- Separating what sellers want from what buyers can accept
- Judging fit, feasibility and how ready a deal is
- Getting hands-on with earnouts, seller financing, rollover equity, and reps and warranties
- Seeing live deal conversations and how structures shift as they develop
- Supporting live conversations between buyers and sellers
- Preparing call notes, next steps and negotiation plans
- Watching how Caprae handles valuation gaps and structure negotiations
- Understanding the moments that kill a deal and the ones that bring it back
- Seeing the pacing, sequencing and psychological arc of a transaction
