Experteer Overview In this role you lead IFF Scent’s global toxicology and product safety program, shaping strategy and driving scientific excellence. You oversee safety assessments for fragrance ingredients and delivery technologies across regions, balancing speed, cost, and compliance. You’ll champion non-animal testing approaches and predictive methods while mitigating regulatory risks. You play a key part in external leadership and strategic partnerships to advance safety science and industry influence.

Compensaciones / Beneficios • Lead and develop a general toxicology team and foster scientific excellence • Define and execute the global toxicology and product safety strategy aligned with innovation priorities • Oversee safety assessments for fragrance ingredients and delivery technologies worldwide • Drive efficient clearance of new ingredients while balancing speed, cost, safety, and compliance • Anticipate toxicological and regulatory risks and develop proactive mitigation plans • Lead the scientific defense of the portfolio against regulatory, reputational, or marketplace challenges • Represent IFF in industry organizations and advocacy initiatives to influence outcomes • Advance non-animal testing approaches, predictive toxicology,



and AI-enabled safety assessment • Build and manage strategic external partnerships with CROs, academia, and experts • Advance IFF’s scientific thought leadership through publications on risk assessment methodologies

Responsabilidades • Advanced degree in Toxicology, Pharmacology, or related scientific discipline (PhD preferred) • Extensive toxicology and product safety experience in fragrance, pharma, chemicals, or consumer products • Proven track record leading global cross-functional initiatives and teams • Deep expertise in toxicological risk assessment methodologies and safety evaluation frameworks • Strong knowledge of global regulatory frameworks (REACH, Cosmetics Regulations, GHS/CLP, TSCA) • Experience supporting innovation programs while managing product safety risks • Strong scientific judgment for complex, evolving environments • Proven ability to influence regulators, industry associations, customers, and scientific communities • Excellent communication skills translating science into business recommendations • Experience managing budgets, external partners, and study portfolios
