Experteer Overview
Own the CI and CD Kubernetes clusters end to end in a large on-premises setup. You will run and scale a self-hosted GitHub Actions platform on bare metal across hundreds of nodes, shaping capacity, reliability, upgrades, security, and cost. You’ll work closely with engineers to reduce queue wait and build times, while improving incident response and platform tooling. This role is pivotal to delivering fast, reliable builds for a large Ruby on Rails monorepo. You’ll operate across data services, caches, and delivery pipelines to empower developers.

Compensaciones / Incentivos
• Operate and scale the self-hosted GitHub Actions platform with runner controller and scale sets
• Manage capacity planning for a bare metal Kubernetes fleet in multiple datacentres
• Maintain fast data services (MySQL, Redis, ClickHouse) per job and optimize caching (node-local overlay, image/artifact caches, registry mirrors)
• Instrument the platform with metrics and observability; set targets and drive improvements in queue wait and build duration
• Manage infrastructure as code using Terraform; GitOps with Flux and Argo CD; Kustomize and Helm for manifests
• Provision and operate bare metal hardware, including networking and cross-datacentre troubleshooting
• Lead incident response, run blameless postmortems,



and implement runbooks/alerts
• Treat the platform as a product; engage with engineers to simplify workflows and improve user experience

Responsabilidades
• 5+ years running production infrastructure with Kubernetes at the center
• Deep Kubernetes knowledge: scheduling, limits/requests, evictions, DaemonSets, controllers, operators
• Strong Linux/container fundamentals (containerd/Docker, cgroups, namespaces, storage drivers, networking)
• Terraform and IaC with modular design and good state hygiene
• CI/CD at platform level: shared workflows, reusable templates, runner architecture, build caching
• Experience with GitHub Actions, including self-hosted runners
• Scripting for automation (Bash plus Python or Go)
• Observability practice: metrics, logs, traces; OpenTelemetry/Prometheus tooling
• Operational maturity: on-call, incident command, postmortems, runbooks
• Capacity and cost awareness; ability to size a fleet and explain costs
• Clear written English; strong documentation skills
