About The OpportunityWe are looking for a dynamic Lead (Fixed-Term Contract) to join our AFC Operations Department in Madrid to ensure compliance with applicable regulations and relevant company policies related to Anti-Financial Crime. Our target in AFC is to lead and shape the industry by creating a culture of compliance within N26 that authorities, customers and stakeholders can trust. This role is crucial to achieve this goal.In This Role, You WillAs AFC Operations Team Lead, you will support all Anti-Financial Crime tasks including AML, terrorism financing, sanctions, KYC, and fraud. You’ll detect Money Laundering typologies and Financial Crime patterns, while handling external and internal requests to detect potential financial crime.Your Responsibilities Will IncludeLeading and managing a team of analysts and investigators.Ensuring timely and accurate investigation of suspicious activities and reporting.Overseeing daily operations to ensure compliance with regulatory standards.Monitoring and reporting on the effectiveness of AFC controls.Coordinating with other departments to implement and enforce/improve AFC policies.Developing and implementing process improvements to enhance operational efficiency.Support responding to audits and regulatory inquiries as neededFostering a culture of continuous learning and professional development within the team.Promoting teamwork and collaboration to achieve shared objectives.BackgroundWhat you need to be successfulSeveral years with relevant banking experience in Anti Financial CrimeStrong leadership and team management skillsExperience on Italian AML/CTF regulationBachelor’s degree (ideally in law, business or finance) preferred, but not essentialKnowledge use of Google WorkspaceIn-depth understanding of Anti-Financial Crime regulations and compliance standardsYou are fluent in English and Italian (spoken and written).Deliver with quality and keep confidentialityMaintain an analytical mindset, willingness of thinking out
