Our client is a leading technology company specialising in high-speed optical communication, developing gigabit and multi-gigabit transceivers for automotive, industrial and home networking applications.Due to continued growth, they are looking for an experienced Senior Mixed-Signal IC Design Engineer to join their Spanish engineering team.The RoleYou will take a key role in the development of advanced mixed-signal ICs, working across the full design lifecycle from architecture and specification through schematic, layout, verification, silicon and characterisation.Your responsibilities will include:Specification and design of analog and mixed-signal blocks, including ADCs, DACs, PLLs, data interfaces and optoelectronics.Full AMS design flow from system-level design and schematic through layout and extracted-level verification.Define layout guidelines and review layout implementation.Collaborate with test engineers on silicon characterisation and validation,



analysing lab data and correlating results with simulations.Support integration of analog subsystems with complex digital logic and mixed-signal verification.Develop system-level models and contribute to product-level characterisation.Research new architectures and technologies and contribute to patent generation.Present technical work and contribute to design reviews and documentation.Provide technical guidance to less experienced engineers.RequirementsMSc/PhD in Electronics, Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering or related discipline.5+ years' experience in analog/mixed-signal IC design.Strong hands-on experience across the full analog IC design flow.Experience with 65nm, 28nm or below CMOS technologies.Strong knowledge of full-custom analog layout and extracted-level verification.Experience with Cadence or Synopsys analog/mixed-signal EDA tools.Experience taking designs through silicon, characterisation and productisation is highly desirable.Excellent written and spoken English.Why Join?A chance to work
