Experteer Overview
In this role you own and operate Factorial’s self-hosted CI/CD Kubernetes platform end-to-end, spanning capacity, reliability, upgrades, security and cost. You will manage a large bare-metal Kubernetes fleet and GitHub Actions runners, optimizing build queues and runtimes to deliver faster engineer feedback. You’ll work closely with product teams to treat the platform as a product, driving improvements through data, IaC, and incident response. This is a hands-on, impact-driven role for scaling critical CI/CD infrastructure.

Compensaciones / Incentivos
• Own and operate the CI/CD Kubernetes clusters end-to-end (capacity, reliability, upgrades, security, cost)
• Run and optimize a self-hosted GitHub Actions platform with Actions Runner Controller and scale sets
• Maintain fast data services for tests (MySQL, Redis, ClickHouse)
• Design and tune build caches and registries to reduce queue wait and build time
• Instrument the platform and set targets with metrics, dashboards and alerts
• Manage infrastructure as code (Terraform, GitOps with Flux and Argo CD, Kustomize, Helm)
• Provision and operate bare metal hardware and network across data centers
• Lead incident response, blameless postmortems, and implement runbooks or guardrails
• Engage with engineers to improve workflows and build intuitive paths for users




• Rightsize runner tiers and manage fleet capacity and cost
• Upgrade clusters and controllers with minimal disruption
• Collaborate with product engineers on slow workflows to drive improvements

Responsabilidades
• 5+ years running production infrastructure with Kubernetes at center
• Deep Kubernetes expertise (scheduling, requests/limits, evictions, node pressure, DaemonSets, controllers, operators)
• Strong Linux and container fundamentals (containerd/Docker, cgroups, namespaces, storage, networking)
• Terraform and IaC with state hygiene and modular design
• CI/CD platform experience: shared workflows, templates, runner architecture, build caching
• Proficiency with GitHub Actions, including self-hosted runners
• Scripting: Bash; Python or Go
• Observability with metrics/logs/traces, OpenTelemetry/Prometheus tooling
• Operational maturity: on-call, incident response, postmortems
• Capacity/cost awareness and ability to size a fleet
• Clear written English
