Are you a Pega Senior System Architect who wants a real route to Lead System Architect? Or an LSA who wants more than one client and one version of Pega for the next three years?
I'm working exclusively with a premium technology and management consultancy in the DACH region to hire Pega SSAs and LSAs across Germany and Austria. It's an established firm that still moves at start-up speed. It works for top-tier clients in financial services, insurance, automotive and the public sector, and its Pega practice is growing.
Why this role stands out
Real project variety.
Many Pega consultancies keep you on one to three clients. Here you'll work on major programmes across several industries. You'll see different architectures and different Pega versions, and work across the whole stack instead of one layer.
The latest Pega, including AI.
Projects run on the newest Pega Infinity releases, including Pega GenAI / Agentic AI, automation and custom builds on the platform. You'll get inside the "black box" of the newest models and installations.
A clear path from SSA to LSA.
There are no promotion quotas. If you're ready, you move up. They actively fund your LSA certification and development with a dedicated budget, and SSA to LSA can happen in around six months for the right person.
LSA is not the ceiling.
Lead System Architects here have gone on to become Partners.
Continuous Pega training.
There's regular training on new Pega capabilities for every level, plus a dedicated AI training week on Pega's AI features, such as moving test automation into AI.
What you'll do
Design, build and deliver custom Pega solutions and business processes for enterprise clients
Turn business requirements into scalable Pega functionality, following Pega best practice and Guardrails
Design new application platforms and integrate Pega with third‑party systems (REST, SOAP, SQL, JMS, HTTP)
Optimise and refactor existing Pega applications for performance and maintainability
LSA: own the solution architecture, lead technical decisions, coach SSAs and work directly with senior client stakeholders
SSA: take on architecture responsibility early, with coaching towards LSA
What you'll bring
Pega CSSA or CLSA certification, plus at least 2–3 years of hands‑on Pega development. Certification alone isn't enough; real delivery experience is essential.
A development background, with experience in Case Management, BPM, Customer Engagement, Customer Service and/or Customer Decision Hub (CDH)
Experience with Pega integrations, unit and integration testing, and defect handling
Experience in cross-functional teams, working with stakeholders and decision-makers
Fluent German (essential) and good English
Based in Germany or Austria. Fluent German speakers elsewhere in Europe who are open to relocating may also be considered.
What's on offer
Competitive salary plus bonus (Up to €90k for SSA, minimum €97k for LSA)
Annual company holiday all flights and expenses paid!
(Optional swap: Senior SSA up to €90K total package / LSA from €97K, plus benefits)
Hybrid and versátil working, home office, sabbatical options and up to 20 days' workation in the EU
Client travel can start from your home anywhere in Germany or Austria. There's no need to relocate, and you get a higher expenses allowance.
Company car, bike leasing, public transport subsidy, childcare subsidy and a company pension (Germany)
30 days' holiday
Individual coaching, funded certifications and fast responsibility
Modern offices, a company‑wide trip each year, regular events and communities
High-spec IT equipment, which you can also use privately, plus wellbeing and work-life‑balance courses
