As a Business Development Representative, you'll take ownership of the first stage of the sales cycle for the Italian market, identifying relevant prospects, creating meaningful conversations and qualifying opportunities before handing them over to the Account Executive team.

This is a high-impact outbound role for someone who enjoys the challenge of opening doors, navigating complex B2B conversations and uncovering genuine business needs. You'll work with enterprise-level prospects and a complex SaaS solution, with your success measured by the quality of the opportunities you create. Full professional level of Italian Professional level of English Spanish is a plus Take ownership of the first stage of the sales cycle for the Italian market, from identifying potential customers to qualifying relevant business opportunities Research and identify target accounts and key decision-makers within the Italian market Develop conversations with prospects to understand their business needs, challenges and potential fit with Alpega's solutions Qualify leads based on business needs, potential, timing and relevance, with a strong focus on converting leads into genuine sales opportunities Generate Sales Qualified Leads and create a pipeline of high-quality opportunities for the Account Executive team Manage the complete follow-up process after initial contact, ensuring promising prospects are nurtured through the qualification stage Book and conduct initial meetings with qualified prospects,



ensuring the opportunity is sufficiently developed before handing it over to the relevant Account Executive Follow up on meetings and opportunities generated by other members of the business development team when required Work closely with Account Executives and the wider sales team to ensure a smooth handover and maximise the potential of qualified opportunities Develop a strong understanding of Alpega's SaaS solutions and the business challenges they address, enabling you to hold credible conversations with prospects Build and maintain a strong understanding of the Italian market, adapting your prospecting approach to its specific characteristics Focus on opportunity quality rather than simply maximising the number of meetings booked, with performance ultimately linked to qualified opportunities generated Contribute to business development activities across other markets, particularly Iberia, when relevant Previous experience in B2B SaaS sales is essential Proven ability to identify, engage and qualify potential customers Strong commercial drive and a genuine hunter mentality Comfortable operating in a structured corporate environment while maintaining the agility of a growth-oriented business Permanent contract ~ Opportunity to work with an international team and a complex B2B SaaS solution ~ Health Insurance ~ Exposure to the Italian market and potential collaboration with the wider Iberian market ~ Hybrid working model based in Barcelona Interview with the VP of Business Development Step 4: Business Case At Babel Profiles, we believe in talent beyond labels.
