Singular English Academy is a specialised English language academy based in Andorra la Vella, focused exclusively on teaching English as a second language to kids, teens, and adults. Founded in 2011, the academy has grown into a team of 17 certified English teachers working across two centres. Singular offers a modern, communicative, and student-focused approach that combines academic rigor with practical, real-world English use in small group classes for personalised attention.

Services include group and private classes, intensive courses, Cambridge exam preparation, conversation classes, and immersion activities such as English Nights and holiday programs. The academy is committed to helping learners build confidence, connect with different cultures, and use English naturally beyond the classroom.

Role Description

This is a full-time, on-site English Second Language Teacher role based in Andorra la Vella. The teacher will plan and deliver engaging English lessons to kids, teens, and adults in small group and private class settings, following a communicative and student-centered methodology. Daily responsibilities include preparing lesson plans and materials, assessing student levels and progress, providing constructive feedback, and maintaining accurate records of attendance and performance.

The role also involves supporting exam preparation (e.g., Cambridge, IELTS), facilitating conversation classes, and participating in immersion activities such as English Nights and holiday programs.



Collaboration with the teaching team to share best practices and contribute to curriculum development is expected.

Qualifications

- Candidates should possess strong English Teaching and Teaching English as a Foreign Language skills, with proven experience in classroom instruction.
- Candidates should possess effective Lesson Planning and Teaching skills to design structured, engaging, and level-appropriate lessons.
- Candidates should possess familiarity with Cambridge Englsih main suite exams. IELTS and other English examination frameworks are also valued to support learners in exam preparation.
- Recognised TEFL/TESOL/CELTA or equivalent teaching certification, and a relevant university degree (e.g., Education, Linguistics, English Studies) are highly beneficial.
- Excellent spoken and written English communication skills, with the ability to teach diverse age groups and proficiency levels.
- Experience with communicative, student-centered methodologies and small group teaching, ideally in a language academy setting.
- Strong interpersonal skills, cultural sensitivity, and the ability to create an inclusive, motivating learning environment.
- Organisational skills, reliability, and willingness to participate in academy events, immersion activities, and ongoing professional development.

Conditions 25 set base teaching hours per week

Availability between 12pm and 9pm.

Monthly gross salary 1.930€

Variable teaching hours compensated at gross 22€/hour

900€ end of the school year bonus
