Role Overview

We are looking for a Transport Operations Manager to oversee our transportation operations in Spain, including transport planning, carrier management, transport booking and last-mile delivery coordination.

The role will be responsible for ensuring compliant and efficient transportation operations, managing relationships with external carriers, and supporting the development of our local logistics network.

Key Responsibilities

- Manage day-to-day transportation operations in Spain, including transport planning, booking and execution.
- Coordinate domestic and international road transportation with external carriers and logistics partners.
- Source, evaluate and manage third-party transport providers, ensuring appropriate licenses, insurance and compliance.
- Manage transport orders, documentation, pricing and service performance.
- Monitor carrier performance, transportation costs, delivery quality and operational KPIs.
- Handle transportation exceptions and coordinate solutions with carriers, warehouses and internal stakeholders.
- Support the setup and optimization of last-mile delivery operations, including coordination of our local delivery fleet and service providers.
- Ensure compliance with Spanish transportation regulations and company transportation policies.
- Act as the company's Gestor de Transporte , where required, and ensure the effective and continuous management of transportation activities.




- Maintain and manage transportation-related licenses, documentation and compliance records.
- Work closely with Operations, Warehouse, Customer Service and Commercial teams to improve transportation efficiency and service quality.

Requirements
- Valid Spanish Certificate of Professional Competence (CPC) for Road Freight Transport (Certificado de Competencia Cualificado para el Transporte de Mercancías).
- Eligible to act as a Gestor de Transporte in Spain.
- 3+ years of experience in transportation, logistics, freight forwarding or carrier management.
- Solid knowledge of Spanish road transportation regulations and transportation operations.
- Experience managing third-party carriers and transport procurement/booking.
- Strong understanding of domestic road freight and last-mile delivery operations.
- Strong negotiation, problem-solving and communication skills.
- Fluent Spanish and good English communication skills.
- Experience in logistics, 3PL, freight forwarding or e-commerce fulfillment is preferred.

Preferred
- Experience in setting up transportation operations or logistics networks in Spain.
- Experience with e-commerce, fulfillment or last-mile delivery.
- Existing relationships with Spanish transport carriers and logistics service providers.
- Experience with transport management systems (TMS) and transportation cost analysis.
