The role As aDev Ops Engineer (Data)at Shalion, you will own the foundations the rest of the data organization depends on every day: our Snowflakeplatform, ourAWSlakehouse built on Icebergtables, our Airfloworchestration layer, and the Terraformcode that provisions all of it. Your Responsibilities Own and evolve our Snowflakeplatform: warehouses, databases, storage integrations, stages, external tables, shares and network policies. Design and maintain ouraccess model : role hierarchies, grants and least-privilege permissions for people, service users and external partners. Manage the platform as code with Terraform, reviewed in pull requests and deployed through GitHub Actions .
Operate ourAWS lakehouse : ingestion of parquet files and Iceberg tablesfrom S3, plus the IAM plumbing that connects AWS and Snowflake safely.



Orchestrate and harden pipelines in Apache Airflow, and drive reliability and cost efficiency with SynqandSELECT. Dev .
Applysecurity and governancebest practices: authentication, secret management, naming conventions and clear data ownership. Your profile should include the following: 3+ years of experience in data platform, data engineering, or platform/infrastructure roles in production. Hands?on Snowflake or similarexperience as a platform, not only as a SQL engine: you know what storage integrations, stages, shares, warehouses and the RBAC model are and when to use each. Solid experience with Terraformor equivalent IaC. Experience with Apache Airflowor a comparable orchestrator, including operating it and not only writing DAGs. Experience withAWS(S3, IAM) and working knowledge of what Iceberg tables are and how they fit into a lakehouse. Daily usage of GitHubfor version control andCI/CD, and a security-first mindset. Strong communication skills with technical and non-technical stakeholders. Languages: Fluent in Spanish and English B1 or higher. Nice-to-Have Skills Hands?on experience with Iceberg tables on AWS(Glue Catalog, Lake Formation, S3 Tables, Athena or Snowflake Iceberg).




Experience withdata observabilityor Snowflake costtooling such as Synq, Monte Carlo or SELECT. Dev. Experience withdbt ,Airbyte, or containerized workloads ( Docker ).
Experience usingAI coding assistantsto increase your leverage, with good judgment when reviewing generated code. Proven experiencedesigning roles and permissions, and a genuine interest indata governance .
