10+ Years of product design experience, including significant experience setting strategy for complex, multi-product organizations
~ Experience setting design strategy across multiple product areas and resolving strategic conflicts
~ Strong platform thinking and experience establishing organization-wide design standards
~ Demonstrated thought leadership through major conferences, published articles,



or industry recognition
~ Strong business acumen and ability to connect design decisions with multi-year business outcomes, metrics, market dynamics, and competitive positioning
~ Experience building design capabilities at scale, including operations, governance models, and talent development programs
~ Deep expertise across design disciplines, from visual design to systems thinking, with ability to coach others and set excellence standards
~ Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in Design, HCI, or a related field
~ Nice to have: experience in media, publishing, or financial services at enterprise scale, design transformation or digital modernization initiatives, M&A; integration or product consolidation through design, establishing design organizations in global companies, published books or research, board or advisory experience, university-level or executive education teaching experience, patents or innovations in design methods or tools, strategic AI/ML experience, international business experience, cross-cultural design leadership
