About the Role

As Regional Training Manager you own product training, selling-skills training and in-field coaching across EMEA and LATAM. You support our Sales Reps, Regional Sales Managers, in-country Clinical Application Specialists, distributor partners and surgical teams – from new hire onboarding through to advanced workshops in the OR.

Responsibilities

- Design and certify in-country trainers and drive new hire onboarding training, including selling skills, product knowledge and barrier-handling role plays
- Deliver product launch, campaign and refresher training for our direct sales teams and distributor partners
- Coach and upskill in-country CAS and Sales Managers through field visits, OR observations and on-the-job training
- Build competency-based training programmes based on needs analysis, with pre- and post-workshop assignments and assessments
- Act as technical product expert for AT-IOLs and ophthalmic surgical procedures, supporting Marketing, Sales and other functions
- Support in-country CAS in developing educational partnerships with key opinion leaders and training centres




- Represent HOYA Surgical Optics at key general and regional ophthalmology congresses
- Feed customer insight and competitive intelligence back to Marketing and R&D;, and report efficiently to Sales Leadership

Requirements

- Minimum 5 years of sales experience in surgical ophthalmology; sales management or clinical application experience is a plus
- Proven experience in training delivery, in-field coaching and OR application
- Solid technical understanding of AT-IOLs and ophthalmic surgical procedures
- Strong facilitation skills based on adult learning principles, and the ability to measure training impact (ROI)
- The ability to influence without authority and to build consensus across cultures and functions
- Confident use of sales enablement tools (LMS, iGROW, MVL, Level Basic)
- Science or Optometry degree (Bachelor / Master)
- Fluent English plus fluent Spanish, any other European language is a plus
- Willingness to travel approx. 60 % of your time
